- Percentage of non-cancelled departure records with an available delay flag that were delayed at least 15 minutes (0–100); rounded to about one percentage point.
- pct_arr_delayed_15plus
- Percentage of non-cancelled arrival records with an available delay flag that were delayed at least 15 minutes (0–100); rounded to about one percentage point.
- cancellation_rate
- Cancelled departure-side records as a percentage of departures_total (0–100).
- avg_weather_delay
- Departure-side weather-delay mean in minutes, over positive weather-delay values only.
- avg_carrier_delay
- Departure-side carrier-delay mean in minutes, over positive carrier-delay values only.
- avg_nas_delay

How it was put together
- Aggregate BTS reporting-carrier flight records by airport, year and month. Join airport names, municipality, state/territory and coordinates from a cached OurAirports lookup, with BTS city/state fallback.
- Departure and arrival totals include cancelled records. Delay means exclude cancellations and ignore missing values. Cancellation rate uses departure records as its denominator.
- Compute each departure-side cause-delay mean over positive values for that cause only. Export the reviewed airport CSV unchanged; it contains no OpenFlights airline fields.
What to keep in mind
- January 2020–December 2024, 381 airport codes and 60 reporting months. Reporting-carrier coverage includes represented US territories; it is not every airport or every flight, and not a live forecast.
- A blank is missing data, not zero. Negative departure/arrival delays mean early. Metadata comes from a cached airport lookup and does not describe historical monthly airport attributes.
- Percentages have roughly one-percentage-point precision because the original pipeline rounds fractions before multiplying by 100.
- Monthly means have different eligible denominators, especially positive-only cause means. The CSV lacks those denominators: averaging monthly means or weighting by total flights does not accurately recompute a broader-period mean.
- The documented airline chart uses the separate route table. This airport-only download supports airport analysis and does not reproduce that airline chart.
