How it was put together

  1. Normalize status and numeric measurement fields; retain each coaster's source URL.
  2. Measurements are feet and miles per hour. Each coaster_id is unique in the compiled file.

What to keep in mind

  • The country field contains subnational regions. Its 144 distinct labels are not 144 countries.
  • Height is present for 32.6% of rows, speed for 24.8%, and length for 38.0%. Charts represent those measured subsets.
  • Includes closed and planned rides. Filter status before making a travel recommendation.
